Just got my People 250 this weekend
« on: February 18, 2014, 08:00:18 PM »
It is an 06 with 4k kms and it has clearly been set down at some point as one of the lower rocker panels was cracked badly so I will be replacing that soon. Also the ignition switch had gone out and they guy put in a generic toggle switch under the rear fender... so one more repair to do as well as a new battery and oil change being needed. At a purchase price of $800 I feel pretty good about it.
I am transitioning off of a People 150 that I made the mistake of letting an employee borrow and the %$!!#$! managed to run the oil dry which jacked the engine. So until I get ambitious enough to do the repairs I decided to upgrade anyway.

Good to meet the group and what not.

Borrowed the scoot and ran the oil dry?
Must have had a significant leak when he took it - or it was burning a lot of oil - or took it for 1000's of miles?!
I know some very friendly people - but none of them lend a scooter.

I will post some pictures soon.

Stig
He put about 10k miles on it. I personally changed the oil a couple of times during the 8-10 months he had it but even though he claimed he was changing the oil when I asked I feel certain he was lying.
I need to resurrect it soon but I have a guy trying to sell me 2011 people 200 with less than five hundred miles for $1200 so I am considering picking it up instead for my wife and selling off the older 150 for whatever I can get.
