New scoot owner. 125madness
« on: March 05, 2014, 04:54:45 PM »
Just got a 2012 agility with 12,500km. $895. Has been laid over and side blinker mounts broke. Just glued back on and a broken brake lever. A blast so far.
Still got a warranty for 10months more.
If yall got any suggestions on maintance to offer lmk.
My only question is if i get a exhaust does it need a bigger jet and maybe a betterfilter. I just want a little more top speed. Located in Waco if anyone is around Baylor or whatever.

suggestions on maintance
Every 1,000km change engine oil.
Every 2,000km add around 2 ounces of Techron to the gas tank before refilling.
Periodically check valve lash.

Higher RPM engine modifications typically degrade reliability and longevity.  Instead of desecrating an excellent scooter design, search Craigslist for a used Sym HD or RV200.

Got a question about oil dip stick. The manual says not to screw it in just touch the case. Says the dip should have a L and F lines. The stick just has diamonds on it. Should i fill it tothe top diamond or half way? Am I correct about not threading the stick to check levels?

Correct - do not screw in dipstick to check oil level. Unscrew, wipe it off, touch to case to see level - half or a bit more up checkered area is good. Do not over fill.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

That was way too easy to change the oil. Figured my gear oil q out. The scoot is very fun to ride and easy to work on. Sucks going down country roads 40mph and getting a nice hard bounce due to craproads.

What schedule do you suggest for gear oil?
