..she let me down...
« on: September 01, 2009, 06:02:04 PM »
..Preparing for the trip to work today..crank my scoot for a warm-up..

..she stops running after about a minute and will not start back up..

..I can work the throttle and get some fuel into the carb...

..it'll run just a bit, till that fuel is gone.. :(

..this is the 4th time that this has happened..

..I will remove and dis-assemble my carb, (maybe I'll take those pics that guy wanted)...

..spray everything out, re-assemble, and everything is OK..

..why does this keep happening the first thing in the morning?? Never in the day, or night...

..hmmmm........  :-\

Pull of the vacuum line and suck on it to see if the petcock is good also.  Good luck!

Don't be scared, nothing should come out it!  ;)  If you have a clear fuel filter you should see the fuel flowing through.  I do this all the time on mine to fill the carb bowl back up after I change my jet.  That way it fires right up instead of having to wait for the motor to pull the fuel down to it!

..I went ahead and drilled my main jet port open, while I had my carb apart..

..not knowing what the difference between an 80 and an 85 jet should be..

..wow!!!...

..Lots more punch on take-off and I maintain speed on semi-flat roads MUCH better...
