strap/belt and rollers
« on: March 17, 2014, 11:54:59 AM »
My good Kymco People S 251 has now passed 18,000 miles. When should I switch, strap/belt and rollers? Some say 20,000 others say 25,000 what is true. When have you changed?

Change the belt and while you are there see if the rollers are getting flat spots. I bought both at the same time and changed them at about 15k. Keep your old belt if it is in good shape. I carry the old one in case of a broken belt while riding.

Thank you very much. My mechanic was in there and they had it fine. They looked fine both rem and rolls. Thank you for your good advice

I like the original Kymco parts they seem to work much better and last far longer than any of the aftermarket parts that I have tried in my People 250S.

I am guessing that you ride under 60 mph mostly?  You seem to be getting excellent miles from your parts and pieces.  Keep riding      Jim.
