Let's see.. I guess I'm a collector who uses his collections..

I've accumulated 7 motorcycles/scooters and I truly love riding.. Anything from local wandering on my little People 50 to cross country touring on my BMW R1200GS, and various bikes in between.. A typical riding day for me is 3-400 miles or more, and I really enjoy just seeing different towns, attractions and locations.  I have a group of friends who enjoy the same, and we tend to wander most weekends when the weather's above freezing..

And since I was 5, I've been an avid shooter/hunter/collector of firearms. I have a large collection of vintage war rifles, most purchased from the US Government through the Civilian Marksmanship Program. I partake in a lot of shooting competitions, using everything from a Swedish Mauser, manufactured in 1900 to modern AR15 variants. I also shoot a lot of .22 Silhouette matches which are shooting small steel targets, off hand, at 40, 60, 77 and 100 meters.
Because I only hunt what I enjoy eating, I limit my hunting to various small game and whitetail deer.

I also enjoy fishing, mostly trout, and like the fact that I've combined motorcycling and trout fishing for the last 10 or so years..

And something I've always combined, is camping and motorcycles. I frequent several BMW and MotoGuzzi Rallies during the summer.. Usually camping with friends, and always making more, they're a great weekend party!! And for those who think they're wild and crazy, unfortunately they're quiet gatherings of friends.. Drinking a few beers and laughing around campfires.. The rallies tend to be around 200-400 or so people,  and food and camping are included in the modest rally fee.. :)

Here's some of my campsites over the years..

I'd be interested in an article from you about the how-to's of motorcycle camping. Please.  ;D I like to camp and never seem to do enough but if I knew minimalistic camping from a scooter, that may be something to add a twist and try.

Can, and will do.. I've tent camped for years, and this year I'm trying something different and have purchased gear to camp in a hammock. I'll write up something on tent camping, and I'll be using the hammock at the IL Moto Guzzi rally and will write up something on how that goes. :)

With my Helix and a 40L top box, I end up with space left over, and I'm sleeping on a 6" thick twin air mattress.

After moving to Colorado 2 years ago, we bought a trailer and camp as much as we can.  This year we added kayaks & scooters to our outdoor hobbies.  I am also a vigil volunteer for Hospice.  Photography has always been a passion of mine, and we're in the perfect state for that! (imho)
