Pretty nice scoot, Vivo.
Did you say once that they sell nothing smaller than 100cc in your country?
So, are most of the 50cc scoots sold in the USA and , where? Europe?
Just curious. (always wondered why someone would buy a 50cc LIKE and then set about spending a lot of $$ trying to get it to go faster - when the 200i could have been purchased for the same final outlay. Maybe they are not permitted to run anything bigger, for whatever reason.)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

The 300 GTI and Downtown have a better power to weight ratio for about $2000. less.   :o

ps: Not sure but, I think the numbers on that web site are wrong.
Seems like I read in another article that the 400 had about 35 hp.
If 35 hp is correct, then I can see the appeal.
It would put it in line with the Piaggio BV 350 performance.

Maybe it's me but I was hoping for more HP. my 163 cc has 11, this 400 has 26?

If you buy it will you be marked as a rich man and down for being hunted?

@Stig: In my country, motorcycle license is required from 50cc to 1000cc++ ... so why buy a 50cc and complain? 100cc bikes can handle speeds up to 60mph with a very good fuel consumption...

@boo:  Bikes here with less than 400cc engine displacements are not allowed on our Super Highways, that's why I'm aiming for the 400...  Maybe I can get an Xciting 250cc and place a 400 sticker on its side! haha!

@08087: That was the first thought! Lol! I can't hang out with the "masses" with their $900.00 scoots... I have to hang out with big rich scooter guys who scoot only on Sundays..Lol! Anyway, the reason why I'm aiming for a big scoot is so I can do long rides out of town and visit far away places... solo...  ;)   This scoot is not meant for the busy metropolis streets...

Vivo,

What speed limits do you have on your "super" highways? 250cc scoots can do 75 mph in most cases I'm sure. Here in NJ I've read that you need a 250 for the highway, but seriously doubt a cop would notice you on a Honda 200 as long as you were doing 60-65 mph and keeping up with traffic.

Signs say 60mph max but nobody follows that!... Cars do more than 100 mph.... Cops are there to assist motorists in cases of accidents .. Lol!

My Downtown will do close to 90 . Of course it will do better with different rolers, pulleys and plugs. Don't know how to un-govern the engine, though . It is more than fast enough for me .
