Pouring rain all day today.
Last evening I got out the towels and the Wax Shop Super Glaze and waxed the scoot in prep for today's wet ride.
And used the Rain Coat wax on my face shield.
Both worked pretty well - and my First Gear Armored Mesh jacket with rain liner and Frogg Togg pants kept me pretty dry.
I like this wax for the scoot - easy on and off. No powdery residue - smells good and feels good.
The Rain coat stuff works OK - but not as good as RainX does on the car windshield.....I guess you're not supposed to use it on the plastic of the helmet face shield.....
But, I'm thinking if it is going to do something bad to the face shield - I'll likely be tossing it anyway ever year or so - due to bug strikes, bird strikes and the Tractor Beams. I may try RainX ......the Rain Coat beads the water nicely - but it doesn't scram off there like the RainX does to water! At 4:00AM with a little fog added - that might make a big difference to my comfort level here in Raccoon and Deer country. (the one 'sleeping' in the road - the other running)
