That's impossible to answer. Performance depends on EVERYTHING working together. You can install a 24mm carb, and 400.00 pipe that will do nothing if you belt is too short, or the wrong spark plug is used.

Strictly speaking if all is in good working order, and everything is know to be within spec. engine performance upgrades HAVE to work. It's a physics thing

It sounds like the fella did the right things but maybe never got it balanced correctly. You can throw a pipe, and carb that are supposed to add 2-3 HP, and have the bike not even start. It's all got to be done right.

i have the random tuning on my 4t super 8
polini variator with boss
and cdi tricky way for more rpm
and i would highly suggest to you polini its a quality thing
improved my performance very very goood
but i don't recommend to spend 400$
its a super8 it will not ever be fast as competition you woud meet on road
over-moding you scoot will make you a friend with the scooter mechanic....

Unless you are the mechanic... Then it is like masturbation. The only person that gets F'd is you.

I say go for it! :-*

I am going for it.  8)

I must say though that even with just the simple de restrictions without any mods, this is one hell of fun thing to ride around. It's little 50cc engine is impressive. Although a little slow up steep hills, on the downhills its king. lol

as long as  I ride it in 30mph roads its fine.

40mph roads can be dangerous as everyone is always trying to pass you and some crazily impatient people even act as if they are trying to ram you from behind (hey pal, I'm at full throttle here).

overall I'm very happy with the scoot.

The Contra spring will help up hills, and you have the right attitude for the bike. It's not a ninja but it can keep up w/ traffic (modded). It's dirt cheap to run, and basically just all day fun.

I've ridden NOTHING but modded 50cc scoots for the past 8 years, and will never ride anything else. I feel like a clown driving a hemi powered roller skate! It's a BLAST!!!  ;D
