Super8 fairing extensions
« on: April 30, 2014, 01:52:59 PM »
I've seen a lot of photos of Super8's with these cool looking extension pieces on the front fairing.

Does anyone know if someone manufactures these and sells them, or are they just custom pieces made by the owners?
I would love to put something like that on my Super8. They look awesome, and it looks like they would improve the wind and rain protection. If somebody sells these, I would buy a set in a heartbeat! If I have to make some myself, it's just gonna look like crap, because I suck at building stuff like that.

Here's a picture of a scoot with them that I found on one of the other threads:

That's mainly an Asian thing. There is a Philippine ebay type site that I have seen them on. Something like PH Tradelink. I forget.
 WeBike Japan also has some...

Vivo knows this stuff.

You could take the picts to any fiberglass repair/fabrication shop, and they can make what you want.

Hell for that matter I can make a whole new set for you. Look at my ZX. I redid every panel on the bike. Just no gay wad fairings on mine... ;D ;D ;D

Looking at the Pict. Those fairings are nothing more than pyramid shaped panels. If you got the stones to do it, I can walk you through the whole thing.
Maybe 50.00 worth of materials, (minus paint) and a sliding glass door panel.

Wax the glass, pour some resin on the door (laid down as a table), add a couple 2 layers of cloth (any kind really)and let it set to a gell. Peel it off the glass, and repeat the first part but you lay the two together as a sandwich while the second patch is wet. When it cures (15-20 minutes) peel that, and you have two glass smooth surfaces.

I make door sized sheets, and just cut the shapes I need.
Honestly... In the time it took me to post this I could have had the sheet laid out, and waiting to gell.

What do ya say?? (peer pressure/peer pressure)

Thanx guys! The advice was helpful.
Looks like I got to start practicing some new skills.
I'll definitely post pics if I get it figured out.   :)

You ALWAYS come thru Vivo. That's the site... Sulit.com.ph

Thats where I started finding all the GOOD dio/ZX stuff. We're clueless here in the US.

Yeah, here in the states, nobody makes it unless it fits on a Harley! Gets old after a while.

I wouldn't sell it to you my friend. It's not worth it! It's a bag of parts.

BUT if you want it we'll split shipping, and you can have it. I KNOW you can do better there. That's why I didn't say fastest in the world.

Pm if you think I'm kidding.
There are few things, and less people I respect. Vivo is on top of my respect list. (twenty something periods..............................)
I trust my dogs, and I trust Vivo PERIOD!
