For those that have the tach . . . .

1.) What scoot you have (model and cc)?
2.) What kind of numbers you seeing at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and WOT?
3.) What are you using the gauge for other than checking idle RPM's?

Oh! so sorry. You don't really need the beer holder if you switch to forty ounce'ers. Just down one or two before hitting the road.
You do need the ash tray tho. Littering sucks.

Temp sensor for the beer... keep 'em cold..

I ordered the Tach, 10mm temp sensor and 4 foot extens cable today. Just need to find a source for rubber grommets to run the wire through the plastic faring. Plan on placing the tach to the left of the cluster and the temp sensor to the right of the cluster.

I know you've spent your hard earned $$ on these things - but maybe consider using some of that Red 3M 2-sided rubber tape to install the gauges....at least for a time. Until you are sure you have found the right position for them...or that you even want to keep them -before cutting or drilling into the plastic head-set. I've had my TTO tach placed on my scoot for nearly a year with the 3M stuff. It has not moved, but I could remove it with no damage if I wanted to.

That's what I was going to do (use the sticky tape). Mount one on each side of the cluster and run the wire straight up and make a small U shaped cut where the black and colored plastic meet and use a grommet to run the wire through. I could run the wire to the side and avoid harming the plastic at all but I was slightly worried about vibration on the wire over time and causing a short issue. That's why I wanted to use the rubber grommet between the two pieces of plastic. Am I overthinking it? Plus I didn't want it to look "jerryrigged" together.
