I am looking for some bolt on performance exhaust suggestions for my 2013 Super 8 2T 50cc scooter. Currently just smooth boss and 82 main jet.

As far as using tools, No hinderances there(other than old age

An exhaust by itself won't give you very much bang for the buck. If you go with a 19mm carb, and a pipe you can add 2ish HP, and 5-7 mph.

To really feel that power gain CVT work is almost mandatory. Rollers balanced to the new set up, and a tune-able clutch + a control spring make a world of difference.

I look at tuning like a two phase deal. the logical next step would be a bore kit. It can add about the same amount of power, and MPH, and that would be the time to polish up the cvt. A good bore kit and clutch should go for approx 200.00 as well

What is your performance now with smooth boss and #82 jet ?

I'm exactly the same set up as you right now and I get 35 MPH on the flats.

I was thinking of finding a stock exhaust someplace and derestricting by removing the blind pipe and maybe upjetting. Im insured right now and dont want to mod it too much were it may void the insurance if an accident happens. Id like to keep the original exhaust un-altered so I can slip it back on should I need warrantee work. My goal it 40 MPH on the flats.

My state limits us to 2 HP. I can always get a Motorcycle endorsement in the future also.

Is ther anyplace to get a stock exhaust for this bike ?

I may sell my stock exhaust after I have success with another one, maybe a Leo Vince?
I may also upjet to an 88 main.

I get about the same performance as you right now.

Slinger went thru all of that, and it never worked.

You can get OEM Look Alike pipes that do give a bit more pep. Same place as in my prior post

The jet will flood without a pipe. Wait till you order a pipe, and get 5-6 jets to dial it in. Also get ONE size bigger on the idle jet.

Im in NC as well.

Modded stock pipe actually does pretty well contrary to what people say.    I run stock carb (105jet), stock exhaust modded,  stock var, NCY clutch,  malossi 70cc sport cylinder.   Gobs of torque (pulls strong even with 2 peeps),  great accel,    tops out about 46 but thats all i want to stay outa trouble.   Tame sound and good mileage.

I have a TK pipe here but the 16mm carb cant keep up with it on 70cc cylinder and its tooo loud.

Might put a 21mm Delorto i have kicken around on for fun.

Thanks Jethro, I think I want to stay at 50cc but little bolt on's here and there to help me out...
So Far, Im at smooth boss, 82 jet, iridium plug and Amsoil Full Synthetic. Hitting about 35mph on flat streches with me at 230lbs.
