Agreed. That cover is sturdy.

I had a guy ran into the back of me. He only contacted that cover, left a small gouge it in.

there is no hatch to see inside ,  there is a bolt for the tupper ware that is good for a few taps at the rear of the cover , the cover is fairly strong,

Did the oil change today. Could only find Royal Purple in 10w-40w, but that is fine. allot cheaper than the dealer doing the service.

Installed a Jcosta variator.... Holy crap this thing "woke up"  all in all - Despise being 350g on average heavier than the OEM variator.  Needless to say i am definitely impressed!
next mod is the rear sliding sheeve. anxious to get a more aggressively linear sheave to retain even more low end torque.
anyone else modding their transmission in this fashion?

Hey guys, I installed an iridium CR7EIX spark plug today. First time I changed a plug in anything.I have a question: after I installed, I took it for a ride. I noticed that after I accelerated and then let off on the throttle, I used to hear like a winding noise. Same thing when I would shut the engine off. I would hear something that I thought was the belt, winding down or stopping. Now since I put the new plug in, I hear nothing. On de-acceleration and shutting the engine down. Any ideas? Is it my imagination?

I put the correct gas in it, lol.
It had been real tough to start it for the better part of a week and I wondered if I had put 87oct in instead of 92-93.
So I stopped and topped off with some 93, and now it starts right up :)

I got two possibles....but still pretty darn unlikely:
Previous plug was about to fall out.....whistling.
Or, when you changed plugs...you moved a rubber line that had been rubbing on the squirrel's cage.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Stig, thanks for the reply. I was kind of debating whether to even ask the question! I don't know, maybe it was the wind ,whistling in my helmet [emoji16]LOL.. Going to take a little ride in a bit, I'll see if I still here the "imaginary " noise.

The squirrels don't like that.

Installed Wolo horn in "New old stock" DT300i and paralleled the 12 volt outlet with the horn relay, all on a fat wire with a 15 amp fuse.

Hi Karl,

Do you have a cell phone mount that you use on your Downtown?  I'm looking for one but not sure which one will work on the Downtown.  Thanks.
