What's the legal limit in your country (question to everyone)?

In the UK, the legal limit of tyre tread depth in the UK for motorcycles over 50cc is 1mm across ¾ of the width of the tread pattern and with visible tread on the remaining ¼.

In Malaysia the police do not seem to bother how worn your tires are.

I guess it's up to the individual what they think is the wear limit.

  ran it dry about 1000 feet from the gas pump],.    404.8 km.    12.58 liters to fill it,.  riding at 50 MPH.  for most of the way,. only 50 miles at 75 MPH.

installing new gasket on the oil fill side.

this is what you get when you over fill the oil, a popped gasket got the side of motor off,   cleaned the sides of the old gasket material,  looks like it was glued on in spots,  wondering if I should use gasket in a tube , with the paper gasket from kymco, would it hold better, any ideas???  new stuff on the market I never used before,  haven't done a engine job in 50 years,.

Got my steering head bearings replaced & the main belt as well.

Funny enough, I preferred how it handled when it was notched at the middle (going straight). It felt much more stable.

Funny enough, I preferred how it handled when it was notched at the middle (going straight). It felt much more stable.
   It takes a few days to get use to no notch,  took me about a week,.   de dee

Today i replaced my DrPulley 15g with the orginal to see if it makes a difference.
I have now driven 250km with the Pulleys and today i made only a quicktest of the rollers.
Slower and more shake, but more powerful at start.
500 lower Rpm at 50mp.
More calm at cruising.

I changed mostly because when i bought the Pulleys, i clean the variator and it was really dirty with lots of thick dust so the rollers didnt get a fair chance.

I'l get back tomorrow after 50km different roads.

The orginal rollers are 15.5g
DrPulley recommends 10% lower weight than orginal, so 14g according to them would be a better choise.

i decided for 15g, not sure if it was the best, but! for the DT300 it seems as 14, 15 or 15,5g is the way to go.
But som people warns about the Pulles that they can destroy they variator, but you decide for yourself.

P.S. I have just bought this machine, and are just in the learning face of it, theres a lot pro people in this forum that can help you better.

You have to think of the sliders slightly differently than rollers. There are two things affecting it;

1.) first is the weight. this creates the force closing the front variator and decreasing the ratio for the drive. The heavier the weights the faster the rollers etc. will decrease the ratio with increased RPM.

2.) second is the rollers diameter. With a larger diameter of the roller the more it will want to close the variator making it reach a lower gear ratio faster. With sliders this is a bit different. The fact is with the design the profile changes making it where at idle it looks like a small diameter roller but as the rpms increase and the slider moves out it increases the profile making it look like a larger diameter roller. This cam effect is what give them their advantage. Essentially a larger gear ration range.

Okey, do today i took my baby to work( 45km) to test the orginal rollers, and i must say that they are dissipointing after ive tried the Pulley.
The takeoffs are more shaky and the acceleration is way better with DrP.
Its more uncertain in carcues/line at low speed.
The Pulleys are getting back in asap.
