KYMCO AGILITY 16+ & KYMCO AGILITY CITY 125
« on: May 22, 2014, 09:29:46 PM »
Does anyone know how one could get one of these here in america? IMO, they look badazz and i want one!! Surprised kymco dealers dont have these. I looked on youtube and havent seen not 1 american person reviewing or riding one. They look very similiar, almost too similiar, as well? Are they the same scooter with different names or 2 different? Anyone else dig their style? Also the 2014 kymco k-1 125 looks sweet too! I need a million dollars.... :'(

If you're talking about the Agility with the 16 inch wheels, I think it's only being made for overseas markets. Not coming to America.
I've seen pictures of it though, and I like the looks of it. If they ever do bring it to the states, I wouldn't mind test riding one, just to see how much the bigger wheels change the ride.

when i ordered a chinese scooter, the MCO was not enough, DMV made me bring the scooter there and they went outside and had to see the EPA certification plates and the one that says it meets federal safety standards, if its not made for usa then it probably doesn't have those plates and probably hasnt been certified

i know laws vary state to state but if you get a scooter that isnt certified in the us then you may not be able to register it (and they will title it as an off road vehicle)

The only other option that I know of is to spend the obscene cost of having it tested for epa and safety regulations, and have it registered as a custom bike.  But the cost of that can be as much or more than the scooter is worth to begin with, so it's not really worth it.
It's one of the reasons that custom motorcycles are so ridiculously priced!
