Would springs with less tension allow the clutch to open quicker/lower RPM????

Lowe tension = lower RPM engagement. But I wouldn't recommend that on the x500, the clutch engages too low as is and causes damage to the clutch and poor off the line performance.

Yes it will open sooner. If I may ask... Why would you want/need that?

I honestly do not think any are made that are softer than stock. You may have to heat treat them yourself.

It is my understanding that at 4000 rpm from a start is when it engages, thought a little lower rpm would be better.
I am not for Shure, but in traffic from a start ,thinking a little less rpm to start off would be better!

You would burn the clutch out engaging lower for sure. Almost every x500 I work on already has a highly blued bell

Yeah driving in traffic with the X500 sucks, no mods will help that!

Driving in traffic with my 500 is Nirvana, with no clutch, excellent ABS brakes, a smooth engine that has tons of power, torque and acceleration. What could suck about that?

Leave the thing alone and enjoy. If you want something faster that is available in the US, get a T-max 500 or a Burgman 650. I've had 2 Cheeseburger 650's and a 2009 T-max 500 plus a lot of others and the Kymco 500 still puts a smile on my face because of it's effortless abilities and huge mid-range torque.

I can understand some of these folks on the little 'string trimmer' scooter's wanting some more get up and go:)
