Hi, can anyone help? I've got an 09 Agility RS 50, it starts ok then cuts out after 5 seconds. I restart the scooter (takes a bit) then does the same over and over. When I manage to get the engine warm it runs fine - just takes 10 to 15 minutes!?! If anyone could give me a pointer please

Don't forget to use new O-rings under the manifold!  The cheap Chinese O-rings go flat from the heat, and leak air. Then it won't idle.  Buy extra O-rings because they don't last long. Buy Viton O-rings for longer life

Could also be the Stator/CDI. See how the carb goes. I'd change out the fuel filter, and clean the tank screen while I was at it.

Hey JJJoseph, curious what you mean about "under the manifold?"

Also, do you know of a supplier that has the right size rings for our bikes? The parts department for the dealer I go to even had a hard time tracking down the correct o-rings for a carb rebuild.

There is a Bake o lite spacer under the manifold that is prone to cracking/warping. It has an O ring on each side.
I use these to replace the plastic junk... http://www.racingplanetusa.com/intake-manifold-spacer-naraku-flow-aluminum-milled-139qmbqma-p-5390-1.html?cPath=2_122_584&sessID=e1cbf98ac9a7fcd1d22ad7b4895f9193#.U4wBjlPLfAA

The O rings can be found a Ace Hardware or home depot. Just bring one, and match it up.

Hi, tried a new carb with new O rings and it's no different. Ordered a new CDI- we'll see how this goes. Loosing the will to live! :(

Sorry to hear that but on the bright side you are starting a good parts bin. You're gonna need it.

Did you check for spark when it WOULDN"T start?

Hey Zombie. Yes it's got a good spark when it's cranking over before it fires. All I can say is the new carb has improved the time it takes to restart and it now runs for about 10 to 15 seconds before it dies. And again, when it's warm it runs fine?!?

Have you checked for voltage on the auto choke. I hate to say it but we all may have overlooked that.
There is supposed to be +12 volts when the key is turned on. I think they are green (Gnd), and yellow (+12v).
