OK. Thanks Ill take your word for that.

I'm still trying to find a similar exhaust or solution cheaper but seems like this is the cheapest so far. Should go ahead and grab it before the auction ends and dremel it out.

If I get it, I'll seriously consider sending it to you. I'll see what I can do locally first though. For $50 shipped, I feel your looking to do someone a favor rather than tying to make money and I value a good forum member for that.

This is the result I'm looking for, I'd like to know if he upjetted it above #82 though. An no, JB weld wont work well on exhausts as he leaves that to question.:

Jb weld won't do it, I've tried small exhaust repairs worth it and it just burns off in s toxic smoke cloud lol. And that $50 is if you part shipping both ways. We normally charge $75

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scooter-Performance-Exhaust-System-Silver-Gy6-50cc-QMB139-Chinese-Scooter-Parts-/151047207092

Buy one of these, and be done w/ it. I've bought near a dozen, and nothing has broken on any of them.

The mounting tabs do need to be "tweaked" or spacers added but they work fine, and last. Nothing to rust or rot out either.

Dude... Sorry!!! I messed up AGAIN.

I have it stuck in my mind that you have a 4T bike. That pipe wont work.

I gotta stop buffering the Crack with Percoset.

If you want a good tuned pipe check out SPI, and see what he has. With an account you will still spend less than the OEM pipes, and actually have something that will work.

He has a whole pile of used pipes too. Some Polini pipes for under 50.bucks.

It can't hurt to call.

Sorry Bro... This whole thread has been an "off one" for me.

Well after 2 hours of dremeling, this is the end result of removing the blind pipe and Cat pipe.

Bettin, can you work with this to weld this up? I got most of the inside pipe out, maybe a 1/16 lip left in at the most. I'll try locally to get it done but would be willing to send it out to you if no one wants the job as it may be too small for a prof. welding firm.

I am thinking about just plugging the cat pipe somehow but a crimp and weld would probably be better.
Thanks

Thanks

Not sure what "Tool m" means but I have contacted an old timer here that works on tractors and he'll see what he can do when I bring him the exhaust for an estimate.

I couldn't find a performance exhaust in stock in my price range.

Yeah either of those will work!!! Did the hanger bolts line right up using the cobra muffler?

WTF!! The local welder here charged me $30 to plug the CAT pipe and weld the Blind Pipe (took him 1/2 hour). I asked him to make a derestricted pipe not a freakn' reakn' crack pipe. Nice performance upgrade. I'M GETTING ADDICTED TO SPEED but the main goal is not having to move over and let cars pass on back roads.. Hitting about 39 MPH hmmm maybe 40 once or twice on the flats on a windy day so far and no bogging on the hill and 35 up a slight incline. Wondering if I should upjet from #82. Scooter feels like a fine tooth saw cutting smoothly.

Next thing I want to address is my rear wheel and tire was quit hot after that ride thru the back roads. Maybe I over used the rear brakes. Will have to find out soon enough as I'll take a ride and not use the rear brakes.

Pic of the weld job.
