I installed the Pirelli Diablo 160/70 R14 on my scoot yesterday and rode 145 miles today on a nice run south into Noel, Missouri, with all kinds of roads from Interstates, Highways and curvy 2 lane country roads and the tire performed like it should, with me not giving it a thought.
An observation about the Xciting 500: It is built like a tank! The output shaft from the final drive to the rear wheel is a robust as on my Goldwing. This thing is not a flimsy scooter at all. The job was easy to do and straight forward.
There is one thing I found that I didn't like and that was the 'splines' on the output shaft were dry as a bone!. At 3,500 miles though there was no indication of wear at all. I put Honda MOLY spine lube on the shaft and the rim, so it should be fine now.
