When they changed my LCM, the part number on it was different from the original. Wasn't sure if maybe Kymco updated the LCM from the original because of the issues, or if it just changed for the heck of it. Either way, it's working perfectly now.(Knock On Wood!)  :D

As far as replacing the regulator, I haven't had any issues with battery drain or charging problems.

Technical service bulletin, add a secondary ground on the green wrote of the regulator to the 10mm bolt that holds down the regulator.

I mentioned this to my dealer when I first had the problem and they said they hadn't heard of it. They checked with Kymco, and even made a note of it on my repair order, but didn't say anything about it when I was there getting the LCM replaced. But a copy of the repair order was kept for the warranty claim, so maybe I'll check with them next time I'm there to see if they got any more info about it.
