Full face on road or off.  While you are at it, get one approved by the Snell Memorial Foundation.  They really don't cost any more and give that extra bit of assurance.  Snell was a race car drive who died in the 60s when his helmet failed.
2011 Like 200i, 2002 KTM 200 EXC and a garage full of 1970s Motocrossers and Trials Bikes.

It makes it safer than a bandanna w/ no Snell.

You so silly. You know she'd strike you out every time and you'd never get to 1st base. Remember, when up to bat, wear your helmet.

Depends on how much of your head/ face you value.

I like a flip up full face helmet and I am on my third one in two years first I struck a large raccoon at night and went down with a broken shoulder scapula and ribs one of which punctured a lung, the Dr. told me I was the first live person he had seen with similar injuries and was I wearing a helmet?    The next helmet was used up nearly a year later while cruising thru Arkansas an Elk met me while I was traveling 65 during the afternoon.

I woke up 11 days later in little rock after having two life flights and two hospitals and dying twice with a mangled spleen and a torn aorta (the bitch broke my heart)! and broken collar bone broken scapula and ribs and wrist lots of road rash..  anyhow the helmet worked again and I am now wearing a new flip face.   They work!    And by the way armor jackets might help some but?

quick reply    I am sure that P.E.T.A. is looking for me..

"If I had a buck for every rider I saw in a full face and no other protective gear I'd be a rich man. "
It always amazes me to see someone in a full face helmet a tee shirt, shorts and floppy's on there feet.
