Let her ride pillion and you won't need hi-viz to be seen.  Meanwhile I use a $7.50 vest I found on Amazon.  I can wear it over my summer or winter jacket and it's got reflective stripes as well as being hi-viz in color.

I agree.  You gotta be seen to be safe.  There is a lot of great Hi-Viz motorcycle/scooter wear available.  That whole loud pipe thing about "loud pipes save lives".....Loud pipes just annoy the person behind you and piss off your neighbors.
