Favorite color for GT300i
« on: June 25, 2014, 01:18:13 PM »
What's your favorite color for a GT300i between black and silver...
I worry about visibility on the road especially at night with the black color. The gold/yellow color is not for me.

I own a flat black SYM RV200. Bought it as a leftover at a price I couldn't refuse. Never again as I saw a nite Vission shot of my garage and the scoot was invisable.

My new Downtown 300 is silver. I like to be seen. That said I got hit on a yellow RT so go figure.

I know you said not for you but, I just bought a gold GT and I really love it. Not sure if you have seen it in person but it's a rich dark gold color that looks fantastic in the sun. It was the only color I liked. I'm not into silver at all.

Good luck and ride safe, mscmkr

I paint boats for a living... My scooters have been dozens of colors. It's never easy to choose, and even harder to live with. Remind you of any one you know?? Mrs Scooter perhaps?

Here's a question for you, how much should it cost changing/re-spray the color to white?

I keep seeing pics of white GT's on the internet. Are they just available overseas? It looks great white.

The GT200i was available in white and the plastic from that fits the GT300i at the cost of $650 from the local dealer...

Between the two I would choose Black.  Funny thing is I'm attempting to buy a used GT 300i. It is gold. Not a color I would have chosen if I were buying new.  But it is growing on me.

It's easier than you think. Rumor has it there's a "heater" hidden in the men's room at the dealer...
Go check and then use it the shake things up around there . :o

It's just a rumor... ?

Most shops will charge 300-400 for a top quality paint job. You could knock that down by half or more by doing the "Prep". Remove all the plastics, and bring it all to the shop.

You have to figure at least 75.00 for paint alone.

The white is cool, storm trooper looking. Get a black one, then mess around on PhotoShop and see what white\ black combo looks best and have a custom looking DT
