Left lean, right rich. It's an air screw so imagine closing it, clockwise, turns off the air, which is richer. You want to be in the 3\4 - 1 turn out range.

OK Thanks

I'll reset is the other way. Need to fabricate a special screw driver that a thicker than the one I have.

How frequently does one re-soak the airfilter and what oil is best to use to soak it ?

Honestly, unless you ride on dirt or gravel toss I would squeeze all that oil out and run it dry. Better air flow.

Thanks again Betting. Got a nice bit that turns the carb air screw much easier now.

Good question as I see no mention of the other screws.

I dont think anyone does adjust the other screws.

The other screw meaning Idle screw? There is no "setting" for this like there is with the Air screw, just set the air screw correctly and then adjust the idle to where it sounds good, and the wheel is not spinning when idling.

It shouldn't. The idle screw just changes how much default throttle there is when idling. It doesn't really affect the air/fuel mix.

I take it the idle screw just adjusts default tension on the throttle cable ?

It actually adjusts the throttle lever on the carb by slight amounts. The tension in the throttle cable is adjusted by adjuster nuts on the cable itself.

So I am guessing you want to adjust the air mixture with no tension on what controls the throttle to its best setting, and then increase throttle via the other screw if the idle is too low ?

Good video Zombie.

I notice when I turn the air mixture screw in all the way, the bike still idles and doesnt easily cut out. Would that suggest an upjet is still a good decision? I have 86 and 90 jets on the way from racingplanet and have the 82 in at the moment.

Would like to also fond a bigger air tube like someone found on an earlier thread.
