Woof!

For all you that haven't been, 1 look at the local ladies on Dog Island and you'll know where it got it's name from.

Ha Ha Ha ...

Had to come home. One of my dogs got snake bit. Looks like a Pygmy rattler got him on the cheek. It must have happened during the night. So far he is ok except for the basketball sized head.
He's at the vet, and I am at the house. Looks like he's going to the island w/ me tonight.

Here ya go Chris...

A tall thin mountain woman walks up to the bar. She shoots her arm up into the air, and proclaims... I haven't  shaved an inch of my body in twenty years. these arm pits of mine will prove that. Is there anyone here man enough to buy me a drink, and take me home?

Drunk old fella at the bar says... Bar keep! Buy the ballerina a drink on me.

The gal drinks her drink, and says... How about another one for the road old timer.

Old fella says... Line em up for the ballerina, and me.

Bar tender says... Why do you keep calling her ballerina old fella?

Old fella... Cause anyone that can raise their leg that high has to be a ballerina.

Thanks for the well wishes. Love you guys!

LOL Zombie

Not sure how animals hold up to rattler bites. Not sure if they can use an anti venom or not. Hope he recovers well.

Without having seen the snake they cannot use anti-venom. It's only a guess what bit him.

Dr. Fullmer says that bites to the face are generally much better off than to the leg ect.. Just the fact he is alive shows that. He is in no pain, just salivating, and the right side of his head is double the size.

He'll be ok as long as the tissue does not begin dying. This is my Tough dog... Macinstein

Dog in hand, and back of to the Island. We spent today looking around for any trace of the snake but came up w/ nothing. Doc thinks it was a ground rattler or Pygmy rattler depending on where you live...

Steroids/antibiotics/anti inflammatory/morphine syringes/anti nausea meds. 285.47 Nice...

See ya in a few...

Poor dog, but sounds like he's doing fine.

Have fun, but watch out for those snakes. I hate having to walk through high grass that happen along some of my favorite fishing spots. I rather hike a bit or wade through the grass with a long stick.

I appreciate all the love guys/gal! It means the world to me.

Just got in, and have to say this was one of the best weeks of my life. (dog  issue excluded) He is actually 100% better already. The swelling is gone, and I can touch his bite spot w/ no discomfort to him.

I wound up in the middle of a dog fight myself, and got bit pretty badly. I thought my lower arm was fractured but that passed. It's my turn for the antibiotics... A stray dog on the Island came after Macinstein, and I (of course) had to be the "big shot" and rush into it.

The thing that made it all good is there is a local gal I have admired for quite some time... She was duly impressed at how I handled the dogs, and after the fur settled her nursing instincts kicked in. Funny how things happen for a reason eh...

Appreciate the love guys. It's good to be home ( w/ a new friend)
