If your buying a moped from a private owner you now need a bill of sale and a reg.to many stolen scoots are being sold with just a bill of sale no longer can do that.

Which state is that in?  Here in Vermont you still only need a bill of sale for a 50cc (anything over and you need the title because the state considers anything over 50cc to be a motorcycle).

Fl. has to be titled/bill of sale. No title, no plate. No plate, no drive.

I was actually surprised when the state of VT sent me a title when I registered my 2012 Zuma 50f.  As I said, here in VT it's not required on a 50, but I guess original (first) owners are sent one.  It makes sense to require it as it would make it harder for the thieves.

I use the term moped lightly, the only reason being that the DMV can't properly figure out that term. I know, I know, pedals etc

So to the OP, if I bought my moped without the now needed paperwork how do I get it to sell it?
