Starting Problems - SOLVED
« on: July 13, 2014, 10:46:50 PM »
SOLVED - My Vitality 50 starts fine with the kick start but doesn't start when I use the electric start. The engine turns over fine but doesn't pop.

Any thoughts?

Have you verified spark while electric starting?

The usual problem is a weak battery.  The starter pulls the voltage down so low that the ignition won't work.

When kick starting, there is sufficient power to operate the ignition.

Charge the battery fully and take it to a dealer or auto parts store for a load test to see how good the battery is.

Thanks for the input. The battery was the culprit; I charged it up and now the electric start works fine.
