My wife and I rode a local run for "suicide prevention & education" the other day.  Great ride.  37 Harleys,  Her Vespa and my GT300i.  Start to finish, it was awesome.  At the end, we all drank the same beer and had the same laughs.  Only that ours were about $20K cheaper.

Don't ya love it when they pull up along side of you at a traffic light wearing jeans, sneakers, a wife beater and chest protector.  The fingerless gloves finish it off perfectly.  Then they take off like and A-Hole thinking that they impressed the 50 yr old on a scooter.  I could die happy now.

It is kinda something to think about. A lot of people carry their Bad side on the out side. I, just 2 minutes ago posted to a distiller buddy that it take a stronger man to carry a smile.
I never did get the "tough guy" thing. There's no reward in it.

I play on a dart league, and my team plays for a "Biker Bar". So my Super 8 150 gets parked in front alongside the Harley's and choppers!
And the biker's are actually the most friendly people there, and the only ones who don't rag on the scoot.
One of these days, I'll get my head out of my backside, and remember to take my camera with me to get a pic. It just looks SO wrong, but SO right at the same time!

Scooters, and Harleys are like bread, and butter. We belong together. It's that lifestyle choice thing we have in common.

Rice Rockets are for driving off piers, and launching off cliffs. Something to laugh at...

I agree!
Around where I live, there are countless different Bike clubs (including a couple "1%er" clubs). And 99 times out of 100, it's the young idiots on crotch rockets that are out causing trouble, making all the rest of us on 2 wheels look bad!

Zombie....you'll get a kick out of this one.  Not that anyone should ever get hurt on any bike...BUT years ago we had a guy in our jurisdiction who was kind of a dick and bought a street bike way too big for him.  Always riding around like an idiot.  One day I get a call of a M/C accident on a mellow roadway that had a long "tricky" bend.  Well Mr. Street bike misjudged the turn, caught the curb and over the bars he went.  RIPPED HIS SACK OFF!!!! No kidding.  He survived....just has to sit to piss from that point on.  Best part was that I had a junior man working with me who had to hold pressure until the EMT's arrived.  Bet he wished he bought a scooter instead.
Don't be afraid....It's only a scooter!
