What Yamaha scooters have been available
« on: July 14, 2014, 11:53:16 PM »
What Yamaha scooters have been available in the US for lets say the past 5-7 years.

I have one unknown Yami offered to me. Just curious as to what models have been sold here in the past few years.
Like I said it is unknown what size/year/model.

Thanks BigMac. I'll start looking those up. I'm trying to get an idea if any of them have any value as a trade for my labor.

Thanks Blue!  How about the Jog? Is that a 5-7 year old bike or are they older?

Anyone know what engines are in these? Are they all Yami built or something else put in the frames...

Found the Zuma... Like a Ruk but w/ a body.
Met is a Honda.
Not too crazy about the Vino... Nice bufallo skull chopper tho. Maybe a rat bike...
Majesty is cool... Flat black, and  a drilled out body...
Morpheous = POS

I see some possibilities in them... Thanks guys.

Here is a very interesting site that lists scooters from several manufacturers for many years. I have given you the Yamaha listing, but just click on the right side to get listings for other brands.

I obviously have no choice in which bike it is but I do like the options, and see where I can make something into nothing. (hope you get that).

I'd like to get a few bikes, and really rat them out ie Deer skull headlight kinda stuff. I'm thinking I have enough friends down here that like my bikes, and trust my work that if I can build a 1/2 dozen bikes out of each others carcasses I can start a little Zombie Army.

I have the spare ZX engine, and an extra Corsa jug that are going in my Vruk frame. The gy6 can go into another China POS that I can paint flat red, and run an open header
I just bought the 71 Vespa125 w/ a broken steering tunnel that I am chopping down to 26" high at the bars, and lowering the tank/seat. Thinking flat tan/brown for that.
This Yami whatever it is....
Plus a Hysong 250 I can get for 250.00 running, and an old Spree that belonged to my new Gf's dead husband. (I didn't do it).

All that tied up w/ the fastest scooter (the zx) anyone here has ever heard of... I can make a little build name down here.

All come w/ the same warranty. If it makes it out of the shop, don't bitch!
Boat building/repair has been good to me but the fun has left the building. Making a 100,000.00 crashed boat look better than new is no easy job. Building a POS scooter into a worse POS is easy. A hand box full of tools/welder/chopsaw/drill are all I need.

Right now I rent three storage sheds (20x40) for boat repairs/restorations, 1/2 the yard at Dockside Marine w/ a trailer/office, and 20x40 carport (shade for working), plus my house w/ a 20x20 carport (repairing trailer type boats), and a 10x10 steel building.Every inch of all of that has something in on or near it that is a paying job or parts for the next job/parts from the last job waiting to be scrapped. PLUS I have another building (location on a need to know basis) where I am building the ethanol column prototype.
I'd like to scale all that down to the buildings at my house, and be done w/ the insanity.

I'm thinking out loud here but it is developing, and you all saw it first!

Unfortunately one of their best bikes is not and from talking with some people at Yamaha corporate in CA, will not ever be available to us...the Cygnus.  :(
