Ran without air filter
« on: July 16, 2014, 09:43:12 PM »
After I reinstalled the plastic, I apparently forgot to connect the air filter hose back up. So it ran without an air filter for a few miles. Should I be concerned about anything?

No problem unless you ride on a gravel road and rode through a big flock of insects.

Just put it back together. I'm surprised it actually ran w/o it.
No harm. Unless they bike tried to die out? Lose speed while riding?

It seemed to hesitate when I gave it throttle. But I figured it was my leaking exhaust. Otherwise, it did nothing unusual. And is doing nothing unusual now.

I didn't ride on any gravel roads or through swarms of insects. So I'll go ahead and assume it's all good.

Bad for the long run, super lean without the tube hooked up. But if you only went a few miles it's fine. The stock jet is like a 108 super small. I have my airbox drilled and home made k&n slip in and I'm at 125 main.
