Cutting the Agility RS 50 ECU
« on: July 20, 2014, 10:48:20 AM »
Hi, can anyone tell me if taking a hack saw and cutting the end of the 8 pin (single plug) Agility ECU will have the same effect as cutting into the twin plug ECU. I've seen tube videos showing how to cut the rev limiter wire embedded in the twin plug ECU, but can't find anything for the single plug. I don't want to trash my ECU if this only works on the twin plug one.
Cheers

I think that is the CDI w/ a red/violet wire that needs to be cut. It is not the the same as the older 2 plug, and the internal wire.

Try cutting the red/violet and see. If the bike doesn't start splice it back w/ a butt connector (shrink type), and purchase a performance CDI from racing planet.
