I just installed a Tecnigas Next-R on my 2T with smooth boss and 82 jet. I easily did 42 MPH - is that about right for my mods?

upjet and bore out the airbox for a little extra speed. That exhaust is nowhere near its' limit with an 82 jet. You could get 42 MPH with those same derestrictions and a modified stock exhaust.

Thanks. Help me understand how to bore out the air box. I pulled the air box and didn't see a restriction. The was a tube from the inlet to the middle of the filter, but I didn't see a restriction beyond that. btw, my Super 8 is a 2013.

I'd upjet to a #86 and have a #90 and #92 on stanby should you want to experiment with them. Boring the box is a bit more complicated because if you overdo it you'll need to patch it up. Try the upjet first then consider new rollers and maybe even a contra (torque spring). Just from what I have beed reading through and not personal know how.
Also consider exposing the airscrew for more tuning capabilities.

I guess your plug chops would come out lean or the engine overheats. Ive read a few posts where peple have had to patch it back up or get a new airbox. I'd like to know myself because I'd like to open my box and upjet more also.
