Agility 16" change brake bulb
« on: August 20, 2014, 12:16:32 AM »
Hi guys,

Nice to meet everyone, I'm new to this forum.

I tried to change my brake light to a LED one from RMS, I removed the 6 screws holding the plastic cover and it won't come off.

Is there any trick to it, I'm afraid not to damage the plastic if I pull too hard. Did anyone else struggle with it?

Thanks!

There may be a plastic clib you have to push in on.after screws are out.

I thought so, I'll try again tonight, It would be very helpful to know where that clip might be positioned.

No chance. I'm afraid I might break the plastic if I stick the screw driver in too deep. The manual doesn't say anything about any clip, just 6 screws and the plastic cover should come off.

It feels like it's holding on on the bottom part though, I've attached a picture from the manual. There are 3 more screws on the bottom of the tail light but to take those off I need to unbolt the mud protector which has even more screws. Did anyone else struggled with this? I feel I'm going crazy, as it should be a really simple thing to do, bulbs burn out all the time.

Still haven't figured it out. It's really frustrating. I'm happy the original bulb isn't shot :)

It's NOT the lens that comes off. You have to remove the casing/shell from the bike, and the bulb is replaced from the back. The lens is also held on w/ four clips. You will see them once the casing is off the bike. It doesn't matter if you break the clips. They only align the lens for factory assembly.
