Really wierd stuff on this forum..
« on: September 06, 2014, 09:26:27 PM »
Not you people but little flying saucers shooting at each other like a video game and second tabs opening up without being asked advertising stuff I don't want. These second tabs usually occur when I select a topic from Unread Posts list. My computer or has someone hacked the forum? Go on, tell me what you think, I can take it.

Sounds like you have malware, do you use spybot search and destroy? It works really well to get rid of spyware and malware.

Try this.
Download and install, then update the free version of "SuperAntiSpyware".
Run and clean your computer.
It is the best anti malware program I have ever used.
It is a no bullsh** program that works well.

OP you have a critter on your pc. Try adblockplus it's free and be happy. Run free version of malware bytes to kill the critter.

malwarebytes first then spybot and then adblock. You may have to do so in SAFE mode: While booting up, continuously hit F8, choose 'safe mode with networking' and then run the programs.

This should work, I'm an IT guy and do so on clients computers all the time.

Use Microsoft security essentials  if windows 7  or windows defender if 8 or 8.1.

If you are having serious trouble, it is best to run anti malware programs in safe mode.

The shooting flying saucers are gone. I was informed by a guy, I think was in the PI, that his company was authorized by MacAfee to do the pop-ups on the second tabs. Ain't that great or what!

What browser are you using. You should NOT be getting these. The banners or pop ups are where most infections come from. D'load, and install MalwareBytes. It's free and does everything by itself. It needs NO tweaking or complicated settings. Just install it, and run it.
Run it once a week, and you will be fine.

Also try Opera as your browser. It's not as good as it used to be but it is still safer than IE. Hackers target microsoft products, and that's why you have issues. They share the vunerabilities in microsoft products to piss off "uncle bill".

Please post back the results CrossB. Malware is rampant on the net, and many people have no idea what is happening to their computers.

Microsoft has made Billions in replacing perfectly good computers because of this. In a way you could say they allow infections.

Mac does not have these issues... Go figure.

Neither does Linux, but without having your wallet cleaned out. ;)

There are dozens of free operating systems based on linux that will run on a Windows delivered computer. Ubuntu, Linux lite, OpenSuse ect.

Windows is simply code, and most people do not realize any code will run on any computer. No one really has to pay for an OS in their rig but strangely enough most feel these free systems cannot be as good or safe as Windows, when the reality is they were developed to be safer/faster/more secure, and more reliable.

I have run a dual boot rig for decades. Meaning I run Windows for daily use, and Suse for my business. A lot of you may remember all the posts on my computers constantly crashing Windows... Suse has never crashed, and I still have customer invoices/personal tax records from 2005.

Just saying, there are options.

Zombie, DO NOT get me started on Bill Gates and his Wermacht. Genius he is or was, decent human, maybe a little bit but only when he disburses money for worthwhile stuff. MS has NEVER put anything up for sale that was complete. His solely marketing driven company get products on the market that have not been finished that require constant updates to work. He is an arrogant,"Don't you know who I am?" unrepentant, unrecovering alky who is dangerous on the highway.
