Nothing will get damaged, you might want to check your voltage at idle to make sure it's over 13v our you might run into charging problems. But the DT has a low battery light, so if that didn't come on while idling your good.

the light # is H 8  for our scoots, and it is 35 W.   I installed HID lights , h 8 or h11 fits,.  I never tryed 55 w. might try that for high beam, what # did you use,   I have HID on low beam only, very good light pattern  side and front,

I think you have to use a light kit, it needs 22,000 volts I think to start the light, then it takes the same 12 volt  to keep it lite,
I ran wires from the battery to the lights to start, and wires from the headlite wires to keep it lite,. then I changed all the other lights to Led lights to keep the over all power watts down,.   the guy who installed 55 w. bulbs check the light housing for high heat, don't want to melt your headlights,.  just a thought?

Does anyone know if a PS250 High Beam can be independently adjusted separate from the Low Beam?

The high beam and low beam are one bulb, so no they adjust together.

hello guys, I managed to take a couple of pics of the 55w HID's, hopefully you'll be able to see them!! first pic is originals, second is the HID's.
I bought one of those modulating LED's for the brake light, I tried it and didn't like it, it didn't seem as bright. I have a very short video, and I will try and post to you tube, link to follow!
cheers,
Don.

That's sick!!!! I swear by the HID kits, and i will until LED slip ins get brighter and cheaper. The headlights on your DT look almost like a Yamaha R1!!!
