NO-tech school
« on: September 20, 2014, 09:44:41 PM »
Talked with KymcoUSA Friday and one of the topics I raised was about "factory school" for technicians. Well, there ain't one. Like I said before, Kymco ASSUMES the dealer has at least one competent tech that has been to MMI or has the experience on other machines that should apply to the Kymco line. I informed him that it appears that NO dealer  wants to fool with anything technical. He was the "supervisor" for the East Coast and informed me that any dealer that was not supporting his customers by not having the required equipment (ie Kymco EFI analyzer) nor competent techs would be fired as a dealer. The Regional Sales Reps answer to this kind of supervisor all over the country, or that is what I understood. So, I would recommend that you contact the "super" for your section of the country at KymcoUSA first, then the regional guy if you are having a problem with your dealer supporting you in a warranty claim. You start by calling Customer Service at KymcoUSA which is one lady that routes all the calls to the appropriate "supervisor" for your area. Apparently, the head shed is getting a lot of complaints lately. Imagine that!
