Scooters in the rain

Flickr's from Paris, in the rain.
What a city to be in with a scooter and a camera!

Pansies with wind screens... I pull my "T" shirt collar up over my nose / drop my glasses, and ride for glory.

I do have to admit rain at 60MPH is like a jar of BB's.

Hard core or stay home. (bad ass scooter rider eh!)

I've had my scooter for six months now. It has only rained a few times since then. (Massive drought) Still, I haven't tried it. I'm afraid of puddles with those hard chinese tires.

You are correct to be. You even have to watch the painted stripes on the road.

I ride my Super8 in rain all the time. But, it's my only vehicle, so I don't really have a choice. I just put my 3/4 helmet on and my Frogg Troggs.
I haven't had an issue with the hard tires. I just slow down, and don't lean into turns as much.
Plus, riding the scooter in the rain, makes the Harley guys at the bar look like a bunch of panzies!

You guys say rain??? How about typhoons? We are hit by more than 25 typhoons each year... ask my Super 8... she has experienced more floods than many other bikers... the most important thing is just to keep the airbox stock and tight...  ;)

Wow, talk about hardcore. Not even the cars here in Vegas would do that when it floods during monsoon season here.
