Air Cleaner Modification

I was visiting several scooter clubs in Bogota, Colombia last week where the 2 dominant scooters are the Yamaha Bws (a normally aspirated Zuma) and the Kymco Agility 125. The stock air filter/cleaners were replaced with K&N RC1200's (or similar). Does anyone know if the Carburetor on a Super8 would have to be re-jetted after a modification like this?

Any increase in airflow will need tweaking to the jetting
