For those that have installed a new tire on the rear of your GT, did you have to replace the exhaust gasket?.

It's a five dollar part shipped. Piece of mind.

If I decide to have a gasket on hand, not sure where to order from.
Gona need a drive belt and air filter in the near future also.

Kymco parts monster. Ask for the OEM Bando belt. Lots of shops stock several brands but the Bando is the best I have found.

update: parts search
« Reply #7 on: October 20, 2014, 02:48:08 PM »
Called Kymcopartsmonster.
The People GTI300 was not listed on their website.
Talked to a sales lady. She told me they do not sell the OEM Bando belt, only after market parts. She said they have a Kevlar belt and I would need to know the exact size of the belt. I would like to find the OEM Bando belt.
The search goes on.

Stadium Yamaha used to be a Kymco dealer, and the best shop I ever dealt with. Perhaps they can help you locate an OEM belt.

I touted the kevlar belts for a long time but now I strongly recommend staying away from them. They wear the variators very quickly. Race bikes, sure... Not for daily driving tho.

On my scoot, if i reuse the gasket it leaks slightly. Best way to test it, install everything and start the bike, the kill it by plugging the exhaust by your finger. It'll either hold pressure and go WOOOSH when you let go, or if its leaking you will hear a slight hisss instead of it holding pressure.
