Giving an AttaBoy for a Dunlop
« on: October 21, 2014, 09:10:50 PM »
Don't know how many Kymcos could fit a Dunlop ScootSmart tire....but wanted to give this tire an Atta-Boy! for a quick stop, from a good bit of pace, in a driving rain, on some of those big greasy white arrows and stop bars!
Someone here told me long ago that the Michelin City Grips will stop you in the wet as though you'd tossed out an anchor (Maybe it was that MassScoot guy by the ocean's Perfect Storm town? He probably gets wet a lot in his boat.) I promptly put a set of them on my LIKE200i and took off the Kenda IceSkates (I think they're called). The City Grips are super tires - IMHO after 7000 miles of all-weather riding.
But these ScootSmarts would get my vote, too - for their ability to haul me down to a very non-eventful stop when that d_mned light went yellow just at the wrong place as I approcahed that big turning intersection yesterday in pouring rain.

(Dunlop, you can save postage on my royalties by slipping the payment into the Honda envelope)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
