« on: October 17, 2009, 02:52:23 PM »
I have a 2001 Kymco people 50 that I want to replace the original drive belt , 6 roller weights , and I need a new oil seal for the final gear assy . Kymco part #'s 23100-KEB7-9000 , 22121-GW0-9110 , and 91255-GE0-0061 . kymcopartsonline price $72.89 , stadium yamaha price $71.29 . That's not a 10% difference and kymcopartsonline has a toll free phone # . Im not trying to be a hater Im just wondering what's up ?

I am not sure what exactly you are expecting or what you're aiming for.
I paid for the A125 belt around 40 EUR on ebay with shipping. Roller weights are around 10 EUR with shipping.
So, I'd say that both Yamaha Stadium and Kymco Parts Online are on the spot with prices and you will not find these parts any cheaper.

As I said I would like to use oem parts . Stadium Yamaha has has posted on this forum that their parts are discounted 10% . Again I am just trying to understand the apparent discrepancy . Thanks .

Sorry , after looking over my original post I did not clearly state that I would like to use oem parts . I am not sure if the quality of the E-Bay parts would be equal to the Kymco oem parts and I don't want to risk it . Thanks .

Actually I did E-mail stadium yamaha to double check the price on the roller weights and they confirmed $4.66 ea $27.96 total . I also called kymcopartsonline to confirm their price $19.95 for a set of 6 . Really stadium yamaha was cheaper on the other parts . The stock numbers are the same for both vendors . I just thought it was kind of a strange difference . I would not have even posted about it except stadium yamaha posts here fairly frequently requesting business and claiming 10% off msrp .

I think you missed my point. Let them know the price difference you found. There may be a typo. in someones list.

Last time I went shopping for Kymco parts, it was $50 at Interbay Scooters (my local Kymco dealer in Seattle) and $54.95 from Stadium.  I shopped locally this time.

On my first experience with my local Kymco dealer I ordered an extra air filter element . After 5 months they called to let me know it had arrived and I was charged $29.95 . My second visit was when I could not get my scooter to run . I was charged $155.00 to clean the carburator . No parts listed , all labor . I am really trying to avoid dealing with them again !

Ok , I did as suggested and e-mailed Stadium Yamaha and explained the situation . They e-mailed back to say they did not know why their roller weights were more expensive but that I should compare shipping costs . Stadium Yamaha $11.95 Kymcopartsonline $16.60 . So stadium Yamaha is less expensive but not by 10% . FYI .

I worked at Stadium Yamaha for 2 1/2 years and Jason is a straight up dude. I can guarantee you that the discount is set at 10% because I am the one who originally set it up using their website content management system. However the prices that the 10% are based on is the price that is implemented by their website management company ARI. ARI get their data directly from Kymco and it is updated when Kymco supplies them with a price update. Without knowing how other websites get their data it could simply be that their updates are not implemented at the same time. There are times when even the prices reflected on the Stadium website didn't match the prices on the current price PDF that we have access to though Kymco corporate. Sometimes they were higher sometimes they were lower. So just to clarify the discount is a blanket discount of 10% on all Kymco parts but Stadium is relying on two other sources for the price structure reflected on the website. Stay Safe John

No trouble. In  fact I am the same "John" that came on this forum and introduced you folks to Stadium Yamaha a few months ago. I left Stadium on great terms and in fact speak with Jason almost weekly. He was the coolest boss I ever had and he runs a great dealership. I understand if there is some confusion sometimes and with prices being different it is natural to wonder why. I just wanted to let folks know that Stadium isn't in total control of how the prices are determined on their website.

I usually bring a can of peperspray when I go to the Dealer. Sounds like Stadium is more of a pizza & beer type of place.
