New tire recommendations for the People 150???

 I was able to do it on a p50 and now own a p150 also and it has more room don't see why it would not.

Everything I learned about motorcycle tires is that if you mount a wider than stock tire, you won't have a full contact patch due to it being "pinched."

You're not laying down enough horsepower to need a wider rear tire.

Really, you want to improve rear tire traction, I wonder if changing out the rear suspension might be more efficacious. In theory, this should keep the rear wheel in better contact with the road.

I'm getting my wheel powdercoated and I thought I'd get rid of the OEM rim protectors once the wheels are off. No kidding, the tire replacement options out there are, for all intents and purposes, non-existent. 

I'd think it be cheaper to have a more standard sized tire as suppliers wouldn't have to make basically a one-off. No real point to this post, just a vent. Thank you.

I personally would go with a 110/70/16 on your scooter. Its a little wider (more rubber on the road) sidewall a little shorter (better handling less sidewall flex)  In Michelins if you can afford it! You wont regret it and it will feel like a whole different bike in a positive way to make you wish you would have done it sooner.

I know this thread is really old but it keeps coming up every time I google so I thought I would update it for anyone else that is still looking for compatible replacements.  I bought the Avon AM63 Viper Stryke to replace both the front and rear.  I tried to bump up the size for both.  I ordered the 100/80/16 for the front and the 120/80/16 for the rear.   Unfortunately, the rears are way too wide so I ended up putting 100/80/16 on both front and rear.  I really like the look and feel of the larger front tire.  The ride feels much more stable with the wider front tire and it also looks a lot nicer with the beefier front.  Hope that helps anyone looking for replacements

Hey guys.  Just thought I'd post a pic of what the front tire looks like.  Like I said it looks more substantial and feels more solid underneath me.  The OEM tires just looked and felt like an oversized bike tire.  Judge for yourself.
