lighted top cases
« on: November 15, 2014, 10:19:44 PM »
I'm a real big fan of riding with a lighted top box to increase my presence to the yahoos behind me.
And when they have built in a brake light and lights which are visible from the sides - that is a bonus.
And you can carry a lot of stuff with a top case.

Unfortunately way too many top cases have crazy expensive prices for a plastic box, then you pay extra  for the mounting plate, and even more if you want some lights, and m o r e  if you want to add a bit of color. Some even make you put it all together after you pay all that $$.
Crazy. Stupid.

If I had the know-how - I'd contact some folks in China to build me various sizes of lighted top boxes, in a few common colors. I'd make them look just like those plastic Euro-trash designer top cases that go for $600.....and sell them for $125 complete with all the lights, a lock and mounting plate , with wiring plug-and-plays and a you-tube instructional. And still clear $100 on each.

Until then, there is this BESTEM case. All in, @$125...amazon.
Very visible, even in the daylight from a distance....and very bright at night.

Took these on a ride at dusk this evening.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
