Read his post on page 4 where he gives rpm at 55 & 65. Looks about the same to me, or maybe a little/tiny amount less rpm at those speeds? :-*

Tiny less is good. It gives you room to maneuver w/ roller weight adjustments.

Dr Pulley makes a round 31 gram roller weight in our size, (28x22-30 gram is stock). Between this tire and the 31g roller, maybe we can get the rpm's down a tad at hwy/fwy speeds. Sure would be nice, and the mileage may improve also? :-*

I was a darksiding on a Honda Reflex and loved it.  I never had a problem with the rear tire.  Front was a new Avon scooter tire.  Back was a little larger and wider but fit it fine.  Ride safe my friends.

My Xciting is mucho fun in the twisties. Michelin City Grips in stock size. Leaning till stuff scrapes, no worries.

How many miles on it now? Any problems so far. Is it wearing OK? What PSI do you run it at? Has your mileage changed for the better or worse?  :-*

I have rode maybe 3000 miles on it so tough to really tell you at this point.

I have other bikes i ride, and the Xciting isn't my full time ride like it used to be.

It rides well, everyone ought to try it at least once.

I wonder...are the reasons for darksiding the Xciting because you find that type of tire more comfortable or is it economics?

I believe a motorcycle tire is inherently softer than a car tire and is so for a reason.  Having a flat on a car tire then seems less likely.  With that said, I know a person who had a burgman 400 who suffered a very serious accident  shortly after darksiding.  He was entering a curve on what was a dry, debri-free road.  That's how he remembered it when he woke up in the hospital.

I look forward to your review of how the car tire worked.  I might just do this myself.

  how about a winter tire for the softer rubber,  should be close to scooter tires
