Stock for the win. Any of those $40 orange "racing" coils are just cheep Chinese crap marked as "performance". Stock coil is perfectly fine unless your building a race machine
2002 Kymco B&W 300; MRP 78MM "300CC", Naraku cam, Yoshimura rS3 exhaust, 17g Sliders, Yellow torque spring drilled airbox, stock carb #115 main #40 pj.

2001 "Yamaha" Zuma AKA MBK Booster; MHR OverRange, Dellorto 19mm BHBG, Polini "big" intake, RS-3 Rear shock, Stock cylinder.

OEM is around 20k volts output. Same for most of the China coils.
You can use really any aftermarket coil you want. I have a Pertronix Flame Thrower 50k coil I used on my ZX until I installed an HPI 45k coil.

I was attempting to run Gapless plugs but kept having mis-fire issues.
Here's the flame thrower I have...

It just plugs in w/ spade terminals.

Here's the HPI... One wire hook-up because the inner core is actually the ground. It attaches directly to the frame.
