I bought marine oil,  synthetic blend,  as my first bottle for my scoot.  I've about ran through it and bought a different brand of marine oil, still synthetic blend.  Before I added any I decided to research,  a bit late maybe,  marine oil in scooters.  I've read mixed opinions.  Some are extremely negative,  some aren't.  Should I return this bottle asap and get something from the dreaded motorcycle shop in town,  or am I fine?  Is the low temp not good for it?

 I have noticed that when it's rather cold out, after warming it up,  that the initial rpm rise under a load stutters badly until passing six grand.  And the awesome amount of smoke at first,  then it gradually calms down.

Zombie will have the answer for sure, but imho any semi synthetic 2t oil is better than the crap lawn mower oil i see people use. I would imagine the main difference would have something to do with water being in and around the fuel, like ethanol BIG no no on a boat. Bottom line is you have oil getting to the engine that's designed to burn, might not be the best but it won't blow up.

It uses it,  but not quickly.  I fear that the cold keeps it super thick.  On a plus,  I've found a place that sells non ethanol 93 octane in my area.  No more crap gas for me!

Yeah the bigger difference is if its weighted for premix or injector use. Premix only oil will be wayyyyy too thick for the injector pump. I swear by BelRay SI-7 fully synthetic, it's a decent price and is rated for premix OR injector. And it smells tasty :)

Marine 2 cycle oil will generally smoke some, my experience.  A good quality 2 cycle injection oil will smoke very little, if at all, my experience.  Both my scooters are used, but new to me, so I am using the oil that was already in the oil tanks.  Apparently, both have good oil, smoke very little.

I did some research and bought Amsoil Interceptor full synthetic.  Several on this site recommend it, so that's what I got.  Haven't used it yet, but expect it will work very well.

I really like the oil injection system.  I am used to running 3.5 to 6 oz premix in 2 cycle kart engines, and they will really load up if you are not on the track running hard.  I recently idled my Super 9 for a long time running some SeaFoam through the carb and it never did really smoke or load up.  Oil injection for street riding is very cool IMO.   Cheers

Another cool thing injected vs premix, the injected oil goes in the carb after the slide so when you snap closed after a speed run or downhill the bike still gets lubrication. Premix, it's all in the fuel so on snap closed with rpms high there's not nearly enough oil. My dad had friends that raced 250 cc class two stroke factory racers and they would always blow up in the same spot, the hairpin after the straightaway. Cool thing about the kymco oil meter is you can adjust it, my zuma is set and opens via rpm only.

It doesn't seem to smoke when I've got it past that initial gorgeous plume. The oil injector for mine is  near the reed block,  the fuel petcock vacuum line is right after the carb.  And the adjustable oiler is a comforting touch.  It's set to be wide open at wide open.

Try a liter/ quart of good stuff (2 cycle oil for injectors, full synthetic) and report back.  Your issue may go away?  Cheers

Found a place near that sells the spectra you posted.  Any way in particular I should flush the other oil out?  Could it just be drained from the tank and lines then fresh put in? Maybe bleed it?

You can drain it, or just mix them. No harm in mixing.

Some oils won't mix, and they will stratify. There is no real harm in this.
 I would prefer to pull the feed tube off the pump, and drain the original oil but if it's a pain in the butt to do, just add the new stuff, and ride.

On a Ps... I've been using Spectro 2t oils since I was 15 so I have 40 years experience w/ this stuff. Even at 1/2 the recommended amounts of oil in brand new cylinder installs, Spectro oil has never failed to do it's job.
Before they came out w/ 32 platinum I always used Golden Spectro. Same rave review.
The down side is the price. It is expensive but still cheaper than an engine.
