I have both variators, and I prefer the LEA5 it has thicker wall at the slides, and I grind it down and extend the slides,.  with the 14 gram sliders they work perfect for me , tools and me weigh about 230 LB.  six feet tall,  you will have to try 13 or 14 grams to find out what works for you,  top speed is 94 MPH.  riding in the country side I uselly go 50 to 60 MPH.  the best milage is 3 liters per 100 km. with 91 oct. gas
