Saddlebags for smaller Scoots
« on: January 17, 2015, 02:41:56 PM »
Saw these Kwik Tec bags on eBay ($56) and then cheaper on Amazon ($45). Wondering if anyone has any experience with them or any other type of saddlebags for smaller scooters. Looking for something to add capacity to store stuff for when I go scooter camping this Spring/Summer/Fall.

Supposed to be able to hold a case of beer. :)

My seat bucket holds a 12 pack, and a bag of ice. I'm only 1/2 drunk by the time I get home so a set of those will fill the bill.  Thanks!  ::)

Have two sets of them Purple is cheaper and a bit larger (I colored them black with fabric spray and fabric marker).Black looks better, costs more and is a tiny bit smaller. They are coolers and WILL hold a case of beer, plus keep it cool .Great for cold/frozen groceries .
I ride with a stainless steel water bottle.I freeze about 1/2 full of water, then, top it off for longer periods of being out.Keeps cold most of day and is like an ice pack for food/groceries.

I use the smaller ones in my full-sized leather saddlebags as a type of liner . They are 100% waterproof...leather is water resistant , so I know it will keep gloves, sunglasses, extra  clothing, etc. dry .

I don't think you can go wrong with them. I've been impressed .

I'm all but ready to purchase these but I've heard of pricing from 15-45 dollars. It must fluctuate and you have to get in at the right time.

Here's a quick unboxing of what I got. Will give a full review once I get a chance to use them a few times this Spring.

It's like the Maintenance thread here (forgot who's) It's so thorough I just want to mess with it. Like Ted Danson's hair... when he had hair

Can't mess with my hair. Got none. You could chalk it up though and try getting my noggin in the corner pocket.

Wkreps needs a trunk for his junk. Pack a lot of stuff in a Givi or a knockoff.

Have used it but only once. Wanted to get another time or two in before giving a final opinion. Should be later this summer.
