Tech makes house call!?
« on: January 18, 2015, 12:35:40 AM »
Here's one for the books..
Honda "power store" dealer  had trouble with a panel while doing my fuel pump recall service several days ago
.
Broke some clips on a panel cover, though it was still secure in place and not visible. They ordered a new part.
Today they offered to trailer my Forza 60+ miles, roundtrip, in for the repair and trailer it back. We discussed the scheduling of this... then the serv manager asked if I'd be home at noon today. He sent the tech and new part to do the replacement in my garage!
90 mins later the young fellow finished up (worked with blue gloves on to leave no smudges on my waxed scoot :-) ),   gave me some spare parts with my name printed on the Honda parts label - and rode off into the sunset ( except it was 1:00 0'clock)
"Cool beans - WHO was that kid?" , said the old fella with the big red scooter.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

A contract killer. Your scooter will self destruct in... 7 , 6 , 5,

I hate red scooters! Say hey to my dad for me.

My dealer has done the same when I was experiencing battery troubles. Offered to pick bike up and return it, so I would not have to pay for tow ( I turned him down as the Roadside Assist that is part of my insurance pays for tows). When battery continued to have problem holding charge he sent a Tech over to install a new higher cranking battery as replacement. No charges were ever incurred.

Poor Stiggy. One step forward, and two steps back. There's always attrition... Lets see who-s bike last longest.

Are'nt some dealers great! My dealer offers free pickup and delivery. I always turn them down as a rather ride to and from the shop. It's nice to know if I ever need a lift it's there.
