hope you are doing better ,  I would be interested in the rear rim ,  and is the front rim ok,    de dee,.

Thanks de dee!
The rear wheel is fine but I will have to take a look (and some photo) tomorrow to make sure the front one is in good (safe to operate) condition.
Will keep you posted.

Thanks a lot for all your kind words guys :)
I would like to share more information but now I have decided to hand this case over to lawyer and they don't want me to share too much information.
Will share more once this case is settled.

Thanks again, de dee, donjack, boo, bluesin, Amac1680, and zombie.
Hope I am the last one in this forum to experience this.
Ride safe!

YW kfc ! Trust me, I was in a hit-and-run with a (Canadian ) semi-truck a number of years ago.

An attorney can save you much headache, but- it is STILL a headache.

Keep track of ALL your costs ( mileage to/from Dr, appts., out-of-pocketexpenses [even things like Ibuprofen/Aleve ,bandages ] ,safety gear you were wearing, accessories on bike, cost of photocopies/police reports/eyewitness statements and so on). Even if you give paperwork to your attorney-keep copies for yourself. Email Attorney A LOT ...it keeps a trail of conversations.

Best of luck to you ! Let us know ( it took me 8 years to get to MMI ,or, Maximum Medical Improvement ) if ruling goes as it should !

Thanks bluesin,
yes, I finally hand it over to lawyer, but they told me there's nothing they can do if the other guy doesn't has insurance.
If that is the case, I will have to go to small claim court and the process gonna take forever......
Being not able to work and have to deal with all that is very frustrating :'(

I understand the frustration. Why Small Claims Court? That is usually for costs UP TO $5,000.00 .

Even if he HAD insurance and you went to Court... you can't tell the Jury that you are suing the Insurance Company ,not the driver, or the Judge will throw the case out . (Expect to be treated like the Defendant rather than the Plaintiff , as well . )  :(

If you sue him in District Court (or even Federal? ),you should be able to attatch his wages to recoup losses.

Did you have insurance? Did it cover Medical and Uninsured Driver ? Did it cover losses of scooter/accessories, etc. ?

Keeping you in my thoughts .

Glad that you are safe and alive. Can't stand wreckless drivers. With no insurance as well.......sheesh I would have been pissed.
Once again glad you are alive and well.

Folks this is where uninsured/underinsured can save your butt, on any vehicle. KFC glad your ok and wish you well. That right there is why I don't ride on freeways in the big city. Crazy drivers going 80 mph changing lanes etc. We all know the dangers on 2 wheels, to me though crazy freeway drivers increase your chances substantially of hitting the pavement. Someday if I get a bigger scoot/mc I'll still avoid them like the plague. Keep in mind I mean congested populated areas not out in the boonies.

It must be you, kfc, no one can fake that pain that comes thru the posts. Sorry it took me so long to wish you well but get better real soon and run that lawyer like a chainsaw: get everything you can 'cause you only got one shot at it. Oh, I can just HEAR the lame excuses outta the guy that hit you! When you feel like it tell us what you might have been able to do different to make up for some knuckle-draggin', mouth-breathin' moron that hit you.

How much for the throttle grip and housing? When ever you feel like it, your schedule not mine. God bless.

Hello,

how is the condition of the headlight control switchgear?  Does it have the option to totally turn off the lights, dimmer and low beam options?

Thanks.

As title, I had a pretty bad luck recently, being hit by a jack**s driver cutting thru the double yellow line while I was riding in the HOV lane.....

Good luck with your recovery.  I see improper entry / exit from the carpool lane all the time and it scares me.  I really keep an eye out for those drivers.

Recommend uninsured / under-insured motorist coverage for all car / scooter driver.  Huge numbers of uninsured / under-insured drivers.   Remember, in CA 15/30 if a scooter gets hit and there is no passenger then the total payout for the accident is $15,000 not $30K.  If there is a passenger then up to 30K will be paid out.  A day or two in the hospital can run $30K+
