Hello everyone, I just picked up a kymco people 250 2006 with about 9000 miles in San Diego yesterday. This is my first scooter but not first bike.
Welcome. I live in SD too and like you I rode motorcycles for a long time then made the switch to a scooter 3.5 years ago. A 2005 Kymco Grandvista - same 250cc motor as your scoot. See the photo of my GPS / cell phone holder. I welded a thin walled pipe between the brackets of the aftermarket Givi wind screen. The pipe is galvanized 1/2" EMT conduit painted black.
GPS holder was ordered from Amazon. It can be loosened and slid left or right.
